I am using Zotero 5.0.96 (manually installed from Zotero website).
When I insert a Zotero citation as LO Reference Marks to LibreOffice Writer document (odt), I can copy and paste it to another new odt document, and it still keeps linking as a Zotero citation.
The complimentary socket connection on the LibreOffice extension end is found in CommServer.java. The Java extension code can be debugged directly during runtime. Follow these instructions to enable debugging in LibreOffice. Attempt performing a Zotero action in LibreOffice, which will freeze the process until a debugging client connects. How to change reference style on the fly with zotero and libreoffice. Apr 17, 2021 -if I go to Zotero/Preferences/Word processors, and that I try to reinstall the LibreOffice module (which appears there to be installed), I get a window 'Select LibreOffice unopkg executable', where no directory is listed. And for information, the Zotero's installation process pushed Zotero in a directory in my home/user directory. Zotero LibreOffice Integration v.5 was installed, JDK 141 was installed and selected in LibreOffice Tools/Options. Still, while installing ZoteroOpenOfficeIntegration in LO Extension manager, the following error shows up: Could not create Java implementation loader Could you help me? Zotero's documentation says that LO governs the formatting of the footnotes. And when I test the formatting in Zotero's formatting editor, the italics are there and correct. LibreOffice Version: 5.3.6.1 Zotero Standalone: 5.0.28 Chicago Manual of Style 17th Edition (note) I've tried to modify the footnote style, but I don't see how I can edit.
Zotero Libreoffice Extension
However, it was not the case when I tried to copy and paste a citation within the document itself. That means the citation is no longer a Zotero citation but a normal text.I tried using various available paste option like: richtext format, HTML, DDE link but neither of them worked. If I try to paste as Dynamic Data Exchange (DDE) link and it does paste as a link but not seem to be a Zotero citation link (ie. not show citation information when hovering the mouse on it).
From Zotero forum, they said this was the issue of LibreOffice. In fact, I can copy paste citation in Bookmark style without problem but have to save as .docx
It will be great if there is some attempt to fix this issue in the future update!
